Sample Entry#
Note
Sample Entry is only available to users with the Sample Entry permission.
The Sample Entry page is used to create and manage draft samples before they are submitted to the laboratory.

Filters#
Use the server-side filter to control which samples are shown:
Date Sample Taken — filter by date range
Authority/Group — filter by reporting group
Sample Status — select one or more statuses (Draft, Submitted, Rejected, Approved)
Show Archived Samples — include archived samples in the results

Creating a New Sample#
Click New Sample… to open the sample creation form.

The form collects the following information:
Sample header — date taken, authority, office, sampling officer
Premises details — name, address, premises type
Food details — food type, packaging, durability, condition
Reason for sampling — recorded justification
Code of practice — applicable code
Laboratory — the lab to send the sample to
Sample officer assignment
All required fields are validated before the sample can be submitted.
Editing a Sample#
Click Edit on any row to open the inline edit form for that sample.
