12.1. Family 12.01 – Ice Cream#

Milk Ice	Ice Cream - Milk Ice	12.01.03.01	Milk Ice Type is to be used for products described as such.
Ice Cream Powders	Ice Cream - Powders	12.01.04.01	Ice Cream Powders Type is to be used for products which can be made into ice cream by the addition of a liquid ingredient.
Ice Cream Products	Ice Cream - Products	12.01.05.01	Ice Cream – Products Type is to be used for products which include ice cream as a principal ingredient such as “Arctic Roll”.
Whipped Ice Cream	Whipped Ice Cream	12.01.06.01	Whipped Ice Cream Type is to be used for products which consist of whipped ice cream that is prepared and dispensed automatically from a machine. For microbiological purposes this ice cream product is considered to be prepared at the point of sale so requires to be examined as a producer sample and not a retail sample.

	Ice – Lollies – Dairy	12.02.01.02	Ice – Lollies – Dairy Type is to be used for ice lollies where the only source of fat is milk fat.
Sorbets and Water Ices	Sorbets and Water Ices	12.02.02.01	Sorbets and Water Ices Type is to be used for frozen products that have little or no dairy ingredient.
Table Jelly	Table Jelly	12.02.03.01	Table Jelly Type is to be used for products of this description.
Trifle	Trifle	12.02.04.01	Trifle Type is to be used for products of this description.
Mousse	Mousse	12.02.05.01	Mousse Type is to be used for products of this description.
Tarts and Flans	Tarts and Flans	12.02.06.01	Tarts and Flans Type has been retired as it is not significantly different from the Fruit Pie type. Any products should in future be included in the Fruit Pie type.
Other Desserts	Desserts - Other	12.02.99.99	Desserts - Other Type is to be used for dessert products which cannot be more appropriately included in another type.
