6. Drinks#

This Clan deals with samples of drinks such as wine, alcoholic drinks, water, soft drinks, fruit juices and fruit drinks. It does not include beverages such as cocoa, tea, coffee and similar hot drinks which are specifically categorised elsewhere

6.1. Family 6.01 – Wine#

Vodka Type is to be used for spirit drinks with an alcohol content of not less than 37.5 per cent and described as vodka. This type must not be used for prepared drinks which have vodka as a base alcoholic ingredient.

Gin

Gin Type is to be used for spirit drinks with an alcohol content of not less than 37.5 per cent and described as gin. This type must not be used for prepared drinks which have gin as a base alcoholic ingredient.

Rum - White

Rum – White Type is to be used for colourless spirit drinks with an alcohol content of not less than 37.5 per cent and described as rum and includes Bacardi. This type must not be used for prepared drinks which have rum as a base alcoholic ingredient and also must not be used for “Morgan’s Spiced Rum” which is a dark rum.

Spirits - Other

Fruit Juice – No Heat Treatment

Tonic Water

Soft Drinks - Fruit-Based, Other Type is to be used for fruit-based soft drinks that cannot be more appropriately included in another type. The creation of the Fruit Juice Drinks Type should reduce the number of products allocated to this type.
