7.1. Family 7.01 – Egg and Egg Products

Eggs	Eggs - Hen, in Shell	07.01.01.01	Eggs - Hen, in Shell Type consists of hens eggs in shell.
	Egg - Pasteurised, Liquid	07.01.01.02	Egg - Pasteurised, Liquid Type consists of hen eggs which have been removed from shell and then subjected to a heat treatment equivalent to pasteurisation.
	Eggs - Other	07.01.01.03	Eggs – Other Type is to be used for eggs, in shell, from birds other than hens so includes duck eggs, goose eggs etc.
	Eggs - Hen, ex Shell	07.01.01.04	Eggs - Hen, ex Shell Type has been introduced for hen eggs which have been removed from shell but which have not been subjected to a heat treatment process.
Egg Products	Salad Cream / Dressing	07.01.02.01	Salad Cream / Dressing Type is to be used for products described as such and which egg as a principal ingredient. It is not to be used for other types of products which may be used as a salad dressing but which are not based on egg.
	Mayonnaise	07.01.02.02	Mayonnaise Type is to be used for products described as such and which has egg as a principal ingredient.
	Egg - products, Other	07.01.02.03	Egg - products, Other Type is to be used for other egg products that cannot be more appropriately included in another type. It must not be used for scotch eggs which although they contain egg are more appropriately considered to be a meat product.
